- Ryan Hicks: Landon's best friend who has very good survival skills. Has control issues. Lexi's older brother.
- Jessie Baker: Older sister to Brendon, Sonny & June's cousin. The glue of the group. Very funny.
- Leo Johnson: Landon & Kylee's cousin that was up visiting them in Pennsylvania when the outbreak occured.
- Lexi Hicks: A fun, bubbly personality with survival skills. Somewhat the moral compass of the group. Very athletic.
- Sonny Baker: Cousin to June, Terry, & Brendon who will do anything to keep them alive. Can be careless, & not good under pressure.
- June Baker: Terry, Brendon, & Sonny's cousin visiting Pennsylvania from Florida when the outbreak started. Is very forgetful.
- Brendon Baker: Hot headed, jerk of the group. Doesn't take orders very well, a loner. Puts Landon & Ryan in bad spots.
- Kelly Wilson: Ryan's girlfriend
- Mr. Young: History teacher who was a chaperon on a field trip with the kids. A favorite teacher to most of the kids. Mid-30s.
